Croatia's first wine museum, in the heart of Pula

The Istrian Wine Museum is the first of its kind in Croatia, officially opened in Pula. Located on the historic Sergijevaca Street in the heart of ancient Pula, the museum is dedicated to the rich wine heritage of Istria. Through authentic items, original barrels, winemaking tools, and stories from local grape growers and winemakers, it takes visitors on a journey from vine to glass. Istria Wine Museum

A Labor of Love

The project came to life thanks to the joint efforts of two couples, the Otočans and the Kostadinovs, who spent nearly three years researching similar museums across Europe and beyond. Their initiative was supported by institutions such as the Archaeological Museum of Istria, the Ethnographic Museum of Istria, the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria, and the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism in Poreč.
