Labels, documents, audio recordings and visual stories

Wine is more than a drink – it’s a part of life, memory, and identity. In this exhibit, you’ll discover how Istrians told their wine stories through old labels, handwritten documents, photographs, and audio recordings.

Some labels are artistic, others simple, but all show how wine was named, sold, and celebrated. Vintage documents reveal trade routes, family wineries, and local customs tied to wine. Audio clips bring real voices to the room — winemakers sharing memories of harvests, family gatherings, and village feasts.

It’s a quiet, emotional part of the museum that connects the wine you taste today with the people who made it matter.
